17/08/2022 - 03:31 PM 30 lượt xem Cỡ chữ Following Decision No. 91/QĐ-BNN-KH dated 12 January 2010 by Minister of MARD on approving the Project on Construction of Vietnam Forest Museum Building, on 12 March 2010, Minister of MARD issued Decision No. 637/QĐ-BNN-TCCB on establishing Vietnam Forest Museum under Forest Inventory and Planning Institute. Vietnam Forest Museum is a civil service unit that is classified as a natural museum in the Natural Museum System of Vietnam. The Museum is granted with corporate capacity, separate stamp for transaction; and permitted to open account in accordance with law regulations. Vietnam Forest Museum takes over the functions to research, collect, store, display, introduce collected samples and materials about forest resources and bio-diversity in Vietnam related to forestry development process, serving the need for knowledge dissemination, education, scientific research, visit and tourism. The structure of Vietnam Forest Museum is as follows: - Indoor display area comprises Museum building, specimen collection display rooms, and the botanical garden. The Museum building displays dry flora, fauna and insect specimens. Botanical garden is the home of tree species distributed in different forest ecologies of Vietnam, which is a unique characteristic of the Museum to meet the requirements of research, study tour, natural environment education and bio-diversity protection. - Outdoor display zone refer to other botanical gardens in the network of the Museum including that in University of Forestry, Vietnamese Academy of Forest Sciences, and Cuc Phuong National Park.
