Seventy years have passed, but the heroic memories of the day when our army and people entered the capital, ending nine years of colonial rule by the French, remain fresh in the minds of all Vietnamese. One can almost see again the image of the Điện Biên soldiers, bringing with them the resounding spirit of victory, returning to reclaim the capital amid the joyous cheers of the masses. The resounding chants of "Hanoi - Vietnam" echoed through the streets like an eternal anthem, leaving an indelible mark on the nation’s history.
